What is TechNorthEast?
TechNorthEast is a digital support network created and operated by an independent group of technology sector evangelists dedicated to promoting the North East of England's Digital and Information Technology sector.
Whether you're thinking of starting a business, growing a business, moving a business to the region, raising capital, developing a career, looking for other companies to work with, or just want to find out what’s going on, then TechNorthEast is your front door to the North East's Digital & Information Technology Sector.

For example, the “Leading Lights” of the North East are companies that help define the region's credentials as a major tech location and employer. They include an array of FTSE100 tech companies, large public sector organisations, companies that have international scale, and other notable regional tech businesses.
The “Outstanding Core” of the North East are digital tech companies that are trading regionally, nationally and internationally, and rapidly developing towards becoming leading light tech companies of the future.
The “Rising Stars” of the North East’s digital tech sector range from early stage start-up’s to scale-up businesses companies, most of which are showing growth potential, and some of whom are working with emergent technology in new markets.
